The Story of Gió VELORI
Gió VELORI was born from a desire to create jewellery that feels intimate, intentional, and alive. We believe fine jewellery can honour traditional Italian craftsmanship while speaking the language of a modern, conscious generation.

Our founder, Elena Arioli, brings over two decades of expertise to this vision. Her journey began on the Italian Riviera and led her to London, where she mastered bespoke production in Hatton Garden before holding senior roles at Mappin & Webb and Van Cleef & Arpels. After years of navigating the uncompromising expectations of High Jewellery, Elena returned home to Italy. Her goal was clear: to bring the ancient traditions of Valenza goldsmiths into a mindful, modern era.

To bring this dream to life, Elena partnered with Roger Guest, who provided the operational mastery and strategic framework needed to anchor her creative vision. Together, as partners in life and work, they built Gió VELORI, a home for creativity, honesty, and the courage to build something slowly in a fast-paced world.

Elena’s creative world

Elena designs the way some people tell stories, with emotion, instinct, and a deep respect for the materials.

Her years at Van Cleef & Arpels exposed her to some of the most extraordinary jewellery ever created, shaping her eye for detail and her reverence for craftsmanship. Her studies with GIA and Gem‑A gave her the technical fluency to match her intuition.

But her true signature is creating pieces meant to be lived in. Elena’s inspiration is drawn directly from the organic beauty of nature, the emotional resonance of art, and the beautiful, shifting rhythm of everyday life.

She designs by imagining how a piece will actually move with the wearer, how it can be enjoyed effortlessly across different moments, moods, and situations.

Her designs follow this philosophy: fluid, versatile, and created without gender in mind.
She creates pieces meant to be shared, jewellery that doesn’t ask you to fit into a category; it simply meets you where you are.

The Art of Italian Craftsmanship

Our ateliers are nestled in the heart of Valenza, Italy’s legendary "City of Gold." For over two centuries, this charming Piedmontese town has been the undisputed heartbeat of global high jewellery. Here, goldsmithing is not merely an industry; it is a profound cultural heritage passed down from master to apprentice across generations.

When you walk the cobblestone streets, you don’t find sterile factories or assembly lines. Instead, you discover intimate, historic workshops where time seems to slow down. We proudly partner exclusively with these local, independent artisans.

By choosing to craft our pieces in Valenza, we are actively preserving a sacred artisanal legacy that is increasingly rare in a world of mass production. Every Gió VELORI piece carries the invisible signature of these master craftsmen, ensuring that the jewellery resting against your skin is a true work of art, infused with centuries of Italian soul.

A brand shaped for a new generation

Gió VELORI exists for people who want their jewellery to feel like a part of their story, not a product on a shelf. For those who value craftsmanship but live online. For those who want luxury to feel human, not distant.

Every piece is made to order in Italy, crafted slowly and intentionally by expert goldsmiths. This approach reduces waste, honours tradition, and ensures that each creation is as personal as the person who wears it.

Gió VELORI is for the generation that wants meaning, not mass production. For the ones who choose pieces that feel like them: fluid, expressive, evolving.
